When you are in the Etoile district, the best is to climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to see the 12 avenues take shape in the Etoile. The entrance to this monument s through an underpass with access to the top of Avenue des Champs-Elysées on the right sidewalk. From there, 55 meters above ground level, you can admire the most beautiful avenue in the world, the Champs Elysées. With a length of 2 km and a width of 70 m, this historic axis connects the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe. Every day, the avenue welcomes more than 300,000 visitors, tourists, business people, and strollers who sit at cafés, take their time, shop in world-famous stores, and admire Haussmanian buildings in all their beauty.Surprise! Every 1st Sunday of the month, the Champs-Élysées is open to pédestrians only. This operation is a huge success. Without cars, the avenue is even more bea dutiful!
