7 Key Tips to Renovating the Bathroom in your Furnished Apartment

Have you invested in Parisian property to rent it out furnished? Since the furnished rental market is very competitive in Paris,  you should give your furnished rental qualities that will make it stand out, such as a beautiful bathroom. Here are 7 key tips for creating the bathroom a tenant will not pass up: 
 

  1. Opt for a shower-bath. When you don’t have much space, you may wonder whether to install a shower or a bath. Why not both? While many prefer showers, a bathtub is necessary for a family with small children. Today, a shower-bath combination is an option! Note that if the shower-bath you choose does not have a door (as featured in the photo on the left), consider adding an anti-slip finish to make getting in and out easier. 
  2. Choose durable flooring, such as ceramic, marble or stone tiles. Follow these recommandations and you’re sure to rent! 
  3. Hang a large mirror over the sink(s), and supplement it with a wall-mounted magnifying mirror. This feature is appreciated by both women and men!
  4. Use found space. Take advantage of space between fixtures and install a tall storage cabinet into the wall to maximize vertical storage while saving floor space. Find inexpensive and quality options at Ikea, Habitat and Conforama
  5. Good lighting is a must. Combine halogen spot lights with wall sconces beside or over the mirror for lighting with no shadows. 
  6. Buy a quality toilet. Not only will it be comfortable, but it will last. Remember almost falling off a shaky seat or getting your buttocks pinched? No more repairs! Also, look for models with dual-flush technology to save water.
  7. Picking up good ventilation. Having a sufficient amount of air flow in your bathroom is mandatory. It avoids mold build-up and keeps the walls and floors dry, and no odors! 


Finally, make sure that all grout is sealed to keep moisture from creeping in the crevices around tiles. Upon visiting, it is the first thing your potential tenant will see.
