Montparnasse
The Montparnasse district is at the crossroads of the 14th, 15th and 6th arrondissements of Paris. It is quite a lively district in the evening with cinemas, theaters, restaurants, and cafes, including "Le Dôme" and "La Coupole," where artists like Picasso, Modigliani, Braque, Man Ray, Hemingway, and Fitzgerald like to spend hours on end in their time. The Bourdelle museum and other artists' workshops bring character and culture to every street corner. The Montparnasse Tower, with its high view of Paris, remains a most controversial monument. One of the symbols of this district is the Montparnasse Cemetery, where Guy de Maupassant, Baudelaire, Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, and Gainsbourg rest at peace. Montparnasse also has an extensive network of metro and bus lines from which to crisscross Paris.Virtual visits furnished apartments in Montparnasse of Paris.
